About this Text Sorter

The Text Sorter rearranges line-based data using one of four practical orders: alphabetical ascending, alphabetical descending, numeric ascending or shortest-to-longest. It is handy for lists that need quick cleanup before pasting into another app.

How to use it

  3. Select Sort lines and copy the reordered list.

Practical example

The lines “pear”, “apple”, “banana” sorted A–Z become “apple”, “banana”, “pear”.

Can it sort numbers?

Yes. Numeric ascending mode compares parsed numeric values.

Are empty rows kept?

No. Empty rows are removed during sorting.

Can it reverse alphabetic order?

Yes. Choose Z → A.
