Terms of Use

Last updated: October 7, 2026

These Terms of Use set out the rules for using Dekuz, the website at dekuz.com, including its calculators, converters, generators and other tools and the written content around them. Please read them carefully. By opening or using the website you confirm that you have read these terms and agree to follow them. If you do not agree, please do not use the website.

Who these terms apply to

These terms apply to everyone who visits or uses the website. If you use Dekuz on behalf of a company, school or other organisation, you confirm that you are allowed to accept these terms for it. The website is meant for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13.

What Dekuz provides

Dekuz provides free online tools and explanatory content for general information and convenience. The tools apply common formulas and definitions to the values you enter and show you a result. They are not a financial, tax, medical, legal, religious, engineering or other professional service, and using them does not create any professional relationship between you and us.

Permission to use the website

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable permission to use the website and its tools for lawful personal, educational and business purposes. You do not need to register. This permission is limited by these terms and can be withdrawn if you break them.

Acceptable use

You agree that you will not:

  • use the website in a way that breaks any law or regulation that applies to you;
  • try to gain unauthorised access to the website, its servers, its administration area or any connected system;
  • send automated requests, scrape the website or run tools in bulk at a rate or scale that affects its speed or availability for others;
  • upload, inject or distribute malware or code intended to damage or interfere with the website or with other people’s devices;
  • copy, mirror or republish substantial parts of the website, or present our content, design or tool code as your own;
  • remove or hide copyright notices, or misrepresent your connection with Dekuz; or
  • click on advertisements artificially, or encourage anyone else to do so.

Results are estimates and your responsibility

You are responsible for the values you enter and for deciding whether a result is suitable for your purpose. Results are estimates that depend on the inputs, on standard formulas, on rounding, and on assumptions that may differ from the rules that apply to you, such as the terms of a loan, a tax rate, a grading scale or a regional unit definition. Please verify important results, especially those involving money, health, legal rights, religious obligations or safety, with an official source or a qualified professional before you rely on them. The Disclaimer forms part of these terms.

Availability and changes

We work to keep the website available and accurate, but it is provided without any promise that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or free from harmful components. We may change, improve, suspend or remove any tool, page or feature at any time, and we may update the content to correct errors or to reflect changes in rules and definitions, without notice.

Browsers, extensions and devices

How a tool looks and behaves can depend on your browser, device, settings and any extensions you have installed, such as ad blockers or script blockers. We cannot guarantee that every page will work in every environment, and we are not responsible for problems caused by software or settings outside our control.

Intellectual property

The text, explanations, examples, page design, tool code and other original material on Dekuz belong to the site owner or are used with permission, and are protected by copyright and other laws. Open-source components, such as the QR code library, remain under their own licences. You may link to any page, and you may quote short extracts with a clear credit and a link back. Any other copying, adaptation, distribution or commercial use requires our written permission.

Information you send us

If you send us feedback, a bug report or a tool suggestion, you allow us to use it to improve the website without any payment or obligation to you. You remain responsible for the accuracy and legality of anything you send, and you should not send us personal, financial or confidential information. How we handle emails is described in the Privacy Policy.

Advertising, third-party content and links

The website may display advertisements and may link to websites, tools or documents that belong to other people. We do not control or endorse third-party advertisers or sites, we are not responsible for their content, products, services or privacy practices, and any dealings you have with them are between you and them. Advertising is explained in the Privacy Policy.

No warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the website, its tools and its content are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. This includes any warranty of accuracy, completeness, reliability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement or uninterrupted availability.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Dekuz and its owner will not be liable for any loss or damage of any kind, including loss of money, profit, data, business or reputation, or any indirect, incidental or consequential damage, arising from your use of, or inability to use, the website, or from your reliance on any result or content. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law, and nothing affects any mandatory consumer rights you have in your own country.

Your responsibility for claims

If your use of the website in breach of these terms leads to a claim against us by a third party, you agree to cooperate with us and, to the extent permitted by law, to be responsible for the resulting loss that was caused by your breach.

Suspension and ending access

We may block or limit access to the website for anyone who breaks these terms, who abuses the service, or whose use puts the website or other visitors at risk. You can stop using the website at any time.

Changes to these terms

We may revise these terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows the latest revision. If you keep using the website after a change takes effect, you accept the revised terms. If you do not agree with a change, you should stop using the website.

General

These terms are governed by the laws of the place where the site owner resides, without regard to conflict of law rules, subject to any mandatory rights you have where you live. If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. If we do not enforce a provision straight away, that does not mean we have given it up. These terms, together with the Privacy Policy and the Disclaimer, are the whole agreement between you and us about the use of the website.

Automated access

The site is made for people to use in a browser. Please do not use scripts, bots or scrapers to load pages in large volumes, to copy the content of the site in bulk, or to place heavy load on the server. Ordinary search engine crawlers that follow the instructions in the robots file are fine. If you have a real need for data, such as a research project, write to us first and we will see what is possible.

Feedback and suggestions

If you send us a suggestion, a bug report or an idea for a tool, you allow us to use it to improve the site without payment or credit. We will not publish your name or your message without asking you first, and sending feedback does not create any obligation for us to act on it.

Linking and quoting

You may link to any page of Dekuz. When you quote part of an explanation, keep the quotation short and name Dekuz as the source with a link. You may not present the tools or the written content as your own, embed the tools in a frame on another site in a way that hides where they come from, or use the Dekuz name in a way that suggests we endorse your product or service.

Users under 18

Dekuz is suitable for students, and young people can use the tools freely. If you are under the age of majority where you live, we suggest that you read these terms with a parent, guardian or teacher, especially the parts about advertising and about relying on results.
