Questions, corrections, tool requests and feedback are all welcome. The simplest way to reach the person who runs Dekuz is by email at shaffiqyousaf@gmail.com. This page explains what to include so that we can understand your message quickly and give you a useful reply.

Before you write

Many questions are answered on the page of the tool itself. Each tool page has a short explanation, the formula used, a worked example and a list of frequently asked questions. The About page explains how the tools are built and tested, and the Disclaimer explains what a general-purpose calculator can and cannot tell you. If your question is about how your personal information is handled, the Privacy Policy has the details. If the answer is not there, please write to us.

Reporting a wrong or unexpected result

If a calculator or converter gives you a result that looks wrong, we want to know, because a wrong result is the most important kind of bug on a site like this. The most useful report contains five things: the name or address of the tool page, the exact values you entered in each field, the result you saw, the result you expected, and how you worked out what you expected. For example, a message such as “On the Loan EMI Calculator I entered 500000 as the amount, 12 as the yearly rate and 36 as the months, it showed X, but my bank statement shows Y” lets us check the formula against your figures in a few minutes. A message that only says “the calculator is wrong” forces us to guess.

Please remember that two correct calculators can still give different answers when they make different assumptions. Banks may round each month, charge fees that are not part of the rate, or count days in a different way. If your figure differs from ours, tell us which assumption your source uses and we will check whether the tool page should explain that difference more clearly.

Reporting a page that does not load or work

If a tool does not appear, a button does nothing, or the layout looks broken, please tell us the address of the page, what you expected to happen and what happened instead, which browser and version you use (for example Chrome 130 or Safari on iPhone), and whether you are on a phone, tablet or computer. A screenshot helps a great deal. It is also worth trying the page in a private or incognito window; if it works there, a browser extension such as an ad blocker or a script blocker may be interfering, and mentioning that in your message saves time.

Suggesting a new tool

New tools usually start as visitor suggestions. A good request says what you are trying to work out, gives one example with the numbers and the answer you expect, and mentions any rules that apply, such as a country, a tax year or a specific unit definition. We cannot promise to build every idea or give a delivery date, because each tool has to be explained and tested properly before it is published. Requests that come from many people, or that fill a real gap in the existing tools, are the ones most likely to be built.

Corrections to explanations and articles

If you believe an explanation, example or answer on a tool page is inaccurate, out of date or unclear, please quote the sentence and tell us what you think is correct. If you can point to a source such as a standard, a government publication or a textbook, please include it. When a reported error is confirmed we correct the page as soon as practical. If the error affected a formula, the fix is made in the tool itself, not only in the text.

Privacy and data requests

The tools run in your browser and do not collect what you type, so there is very little personal data on our side. The main exception is the email you send us. If you want to ask what we hold about you, have a message deleted, or raise any other privacy question, write to us from the email address you used originally and say what you would like us to do. We may ask you to confirm that you are the owner of that address before we act. We aim to reply within 30 days. Our Privacy Policy explains your rights in more detail.

Advertising problems

Dekuz may show ads provided by third-party advertising partners such as Google AdSense. We do not choose each individual ad. If you see an ad that is misleading, offensive, inappropriate for children, or that tries to trick you into downloading something, please send us a screenshot, the address of the page where it appeared, and the date and time. You can also use the report option that appears on most ads, or the AdChoices icon, to report it directly to the ad provider. We can use details of the ad to block that advertiser or category through our advertising settings.

Copyright and content removal

We take care to write our own explanations and to use open-source code with its licence respected. If you believe that something on this site copies your work or infringes your rights, please send the address of the page, a description of the material, evidence that you own the rights or act for the owner, and your contact details. We will review the notice and take appropriate action.

Linking to Dekuz

You are free to link to any page on the site, including from articles, forum posts, school resources and social media. Short quotations with a link back are fine. Copying whole pages or large parts of the site and presenting them as your own is not, as set out in the Terms of Use.

What we cannot help with

We are happy to explain how a tool works, but we cannot give personal financial, tax, medical, legal or religious advice, work out your individual homework or business case, recover data from another website, or provide support for products and services that are not part of Dekuz. For those matters, please speak to a qualified professional or the organisation concerned.

When to expect a reply

Dekuz is run by one site administrator, who reads every message. We aim to reply within a few business days, although complex reports that need testing can take longer. If you have not heard back after a week, a short follow-up message is fine. Please write in English where possible so that we can respond accurately, and avoid attaching files unless we ask for them. Never send passwords, bank details, card numbers or national identity numbers to us; we will never need them.

Language, region and units

Dekuz is written in English, and many visitors read it as a second language, so plain wording is a priority. If a sentence is hard to follow, quote it in your message and we will rewrite it more simply. If you work with a unit or custom that is local to your region and is missing or defined differently on the site, tell us which source you follow, for example a land record office, a jeweller’s standard or a school board, and we will check whether the page should mention it.

Accessibility and design feedback

If a colour contrast is too weak, text is too small on your device, a control is hard to use with a keyboard or a screen reader, or a page jumps around while it loads, please let us know. Describe the device, the browser and the page. These reports are taken seriously, because a tool that some people cannot use comfortably is not finished.

Business and partnership enquiries

If you represent a business, school or publication and would like to discuss a link, a correction to how we describe your product or a suggestion for a tool, write to us with a short description of who you are and what you propose. Please note that we do not sell tool results, we do not accept payment to change what a calculator shows, and we do not publish sponsored articles. Messages that are clearly mass-mailed offers of link exchanges or paid posts may not receive a reply.

Educational and non-commercial use

Teachers and students are welcome to use the tools in lessons, worksheets and projects. If you would like to ask whether a page can be used in a particular way, such as in a printed handout or a course website, send a short description. A link back to the page is usually all that is needed for non-commercial educational use.
